Labour issues in Dubai

I have been slapped with a life ban for overstaying my visit visa, which was sponsored by my father. During the Amnesty period last year, I got an out-pass made for myself and planned to return to the UAE to stay legally.

Unfortunately, I was slapped with a life ban at the Dubai International Airport, although my out-pass was made at the Sharjah Immigration Department. I have lived in the UAE for many years and have not committed any crime. Is   any way to get this ban lifted? Can I appeal against the decision?

This is a matter of public policy. A decision on this is entirely at the discretion of the Naturalisation and Residency authorities of the country. You may submit a mercy petition to the authorities, requesting to reconsider your ban on humanitarian grounds. Generally, it’s difficult to get the ban lifted in these situations.
