See the Burj for less than Dh100

DUBAI // Tickets for admission to the At The Top observation deck on the 124th floor of Burj Dubai will cost from Dh100.

Admission for immediate access to the tower can be purchased at Burj Dubai for Dh210 (US$57). Advance bookings will cost Dh100 for adults, Dh75 for children and will be free for those under three. Advance bookings can be made online or by telephone, and a specific appointment will be given.

A visit to the Burj begins at the ground level of the nearby Dubai Mall. Throughout the journey, television screens will chronicle the history of Dubai and the story of the tower. A 65-metre underground tunnel will transport tourists from the mall to the tower. Along the way, images from the earliest days of Dubai to the present will be shown.

A high-speed elevator takes visitors to the observation deck, travelling at 10 metres per second. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide an unobstructed 360-degree view of the emirate. Hi-tech telescopes will provide alternative “time-travel” visions of the scenes being viewed, and will cost Dh10.

Tourists can also venture onto the terrace on the 124th floor. Souvenir shops would be available at the top. The tour lasts for an hour, but visitors may stay longer.

The observation deck is open daily from 10am to 10pm, and until midnight on weekends.
