People often complain that they do not get an opportunity to succeed. But the fact is there are many opportunities around us but people miss them out because we are not really looking out for them.
To identify an opportunity, we need to have the right attitude. An optimistic person sees each situation as favourable and tries to gain the best even from the worst circumstances. Thus, he makes best use of every opportunity.

A pessimist on the other hand is cynical even in the best circumstances. To make the best use of an opportunity, one must be flexible, open-minded, creative, optimistic, prompt, ready to take risks and curious to learn.
Often, the quality of the opportunity defines our success. Among the many opportunities we come across, choosing the most suitable one is very important. One must be cautious because choosing a wrong opportunity consumes your time and resources.

The following are some occasions, instances or places where you must keenly look for a good opportunity:
· When you face problems, failures, challenges and crises.
· When you come across people whose needs are not met.
· In the newspapers, magazines and the Internet.
· When something new arrives- be it a product, a technology or a trend.
· Notable change in life style of people.
· Changing requirements in a field or sector.
· Highly competitive sectors, where there will be hidden requirements.

We come across opportunities constantly. But we should be wise enough to identify and select the best from them.
Trying out different opportunities will improve our accuracy in choosing the best one.
