Maintaining diversity in the group attempting to solve the problem is key for a successful outcome. This diversity must be in terms of mindset, academic backgrounds, work experience, rank in the organisation and talents. Diversity ensures that newer perspectives are offered.


AN opinion expressed by a member will make others think about it, which will trigger another perspective to the problem.


Another advantage of diversity is that it leads to conflicts. Diversity leads to difference in opinion. A homogeneous group reaches an agreement as soon as they think more or
less alike. But in a diversified group people challenge and debate on the problem and so they discuss more on the issue. The decision entails substantial argument to prove it valid.
As long as the conflict can be dealt in a constructive way, it must be encouraged.
